This fan-shaped parasol would be something you could attach to the back of your office chair. When pulled up and opened it would block the sun from shining on anything directly in front of you (like your computer screen and/or desk) and as much of what's to the left or right of you as you want based
on how wide you opened the fan. This appendage would let people who wanted to sit in the sun have as much bright light beating down on them as they wished while those of us who would rather not get a sunburn at work can sit in the shade to our hearts content .
Baked (and posher) by the Persians

jutta - After checking out the link I can't decide if this is baked or not. What do you think? |
|
| |
Baked is fine, it's "widely known to exist" that you must avoid. |
|
| |
Just add some piezo, some bimetallics, a bit of RFID, and an invisible finger that points to the moon. |
|
| |
How about an invisible hand that opens and closes the fan to match the angle of the sun as it changes? |
|
| |
If you concentwate on the finger you will miss aww the hevenwy gwory! <appologies, listening to The magic finger (GMS remix) as we speak> |

It ain't baked.Well, there is a Peacock throne. But I
don't think the emporor used it to block the sun. It
was just ornamental. |
|
| |
This idea/innovation takes the peacock feather back
and uses it to solve a previously un-thought class of
problem. So It ain't baked. |
